Florene Sizemore Casciola, 91, of Silsbee, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2007. She was born May 31, 1916, to Drexel and Patience Coday in Logansport, Louisiana. She lived most of her life in Beaumont and Silsbee.
She was a Bookkeeper for Zummo Meat Co. in Beaumont and retired after 30 years of service.
Florene was preceded in death by her husband and father of their two daughters, Ernest Taylor Sizemore; husband, Steven Casciola; grandson, Carl Neukirch, Jr.; two sisters, Mildred Merritt and Maurice Salles; brother H. D. “Sonny” Coday.
She is survived by her daughters, Patsy Neukirch Buscher, and husband Robert, of Burnet; Sharon Sizemore Word, and husband Donald, of Silsbee; grandchildren, Michael Word of Silsbee; Cynthia Neukirch Eklund, and husband Donald, of League City; and Bryan Word of Silsbee; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Johnnie O’Dell, Billie Legg, and Aileen Bellaire, all of Silsbee; brothers, Roger Coday, and wife Jeannie, of Lake Jackson and Frank Coday, and wife Virginia, of Hemphill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 15, 2007, at 11:00 AM, in the Farmer Funeral Home Chapel in Silsbee with interment in Knupple Cemetery in Silsbee.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 5 – 9 PM, Sunday, October 14, 2007, at the funeral home.
