Willis Ray ParrFuneral services for Willis Ray Parr, 64, of Silsbee will be 10:00 am Monday, October 29, 2007 at St. Mark's Catholic Church with interment following in R. S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery. A Christian wake will be held at 6:00 pm Sunday evening at Farmer Funeral Home.

Mr. Parr died October 25, 2007 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

A native of Houston, Mr. Parr was a longtime resident of Silsbee. He was a retired motor mechanic from MeadWesvaco and was a Vietnam War veteran. Ray was involved with the Boy Scouts of America most of his life, a member of Knights of Columbus and was an active member of St. Marks Catholic Church. He was also a board member for North Hardin Water and a trustee for Pace International.

Survivors include his wife Lucy Parr of Silsbee; son Willis Parr, Jr. and wife Christy of Warren; daughter Vicki Parr of Silsbee; brothers Bob Parr of Silsbee, Herbert Parr of Rusk and Harold Parr of Buna; sisters Ila Mae Rankin of Lufkin and Margie Rasmussen of Silsbee; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Lucy and family, We are so saddened by Rays passing. He was a wonderful man and a good friend. He was Jim's Godfather and he is very blessed for having known Ray for a very short time.Our prayers and deepest sympathy for you and your family. May God's richest blessings be with you. Ray was a wonderful man and a fine Christain Man as well, and I know he will be missed greatly.

Lucy, What an honor to be one of Ray's St. Mark's relatives! He always had a smile on his face and a helping hand for anyone who crossed his path. He will be missed by all who came in contact with his integrity and pleasant character. Sending our love to you and the children... Peggy and Ron

Please accept my and my families condolences, Ray was a very special person and a great freind and is very fondly thought of in the shop at work. we talk about him alot, his stories will continue for a long time to come
