Oneta Earl JacksonFuneral services for Oneta Earl Jackson, 75, of Kountze will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment to follow at R. S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jackson died November 12, 2007 at Memorial Herman Hospital in Beaumont.

She was born July 9, 1932 to Susie and Earl Atkinson in Wade, Oklahoma. Oneta was a retired sales clerk for Bealls Department Store in Silsbee. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother sister and friend.

Preceded in death by her daughter Carla Plaunty and granddaughter Angela Spell. Survivors include her husband of 57 years Harry Jackson of Beaumont Colony; son Jody Jackson and wife Debbie of Humble; daughter Connie Franklin and husband Allen of Port Arthur; grandchildren Justin Plaunty of Silsbee, Blake and Austin Jackson of Humble, Stephanie Williams of Lumberton, Michael Franklin of Beaumont, Tisha Hamilton of Orangefield, Carrie Swanson of Colorado and nine great grandchildren; brothers Lloyd, Glen and Phillip Atkinson; sisters Mary Kent, Sue Goolsby and Margaret Chesser.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Anwar and Associates, and the nurses in the ICU at Herman Baptist Hospital in Beaumont for their special care of their loved one the five weeks she was there.

The family suggest in lieu of flowers donations to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 15186 Austin, TX 78761 or the American Diabetes Association, 2400 Augusta Dr, Suite 175, Houston, TX 77057.

Pall Bearers serving for Mrs. Jackson will be Jeremy Williams, Michael Franklin, Justin Plaunty, Blake Jackson, Austin Jackson and Hal Miller.

Mrs. Jackson was such a sweet lady and we will all miss her pretty smile. The family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Jody, what can I say, I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom, read it in the paper this am, we were so sorry to hear of your loss of your Mom. She was a very special person and we have fond memories of her. She will be remembered for her always laughing and telling good jokes. I really enjoyed visiting with her throughout the years we knew each other. Love from all of us. Jim, Pat and family-Debbie,Pam and Karry Love you sweetheart, our hearts hurt for you and yours.
