Emma Opal Gallaspy Funeral services for Emma Opal Gallaspy, 78, of Silsbee will be 2:00 pm Sunday, December 2, 2007 at

Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Hooks-Cravy Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gallaspy died November 29, 2007 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

A native and lifelong resident of Silsbee, Emma was a retired nurse’s aid.

Mrs. Gallaspy was preceded in death by her husband David H. Gallaspy and son Jack Curtis Gallaspy. Survivors include her children, David and Carla Gallaspy, Eddy and Renee Gallaspy, Carolyn and George Douglas, Donald and Cheryl Gallaspy and Susie and Bill Dryden; brother Floyd Hooks; longtime friend Sherman Luckey; ten grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; one great, great grandson; six step-grandchildren and nine step-great grandchildren.

The family would like to express their gratitude to St. Elizabeth Hospital's nursing staff and doctors for their special care of their mother.

This was my Mother and my best friend second to the Lord. I will forevger miss her but have faith I will someday see her again in Heaven.

Mrs. Emma was a wonderful person. I worked with her at Silsbee Doctor's Hospital. Everyone loved her.
