ANNIE MARTIN FREEMAN
Born 03-29-21 in Hicksbaugh, Texas and passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on December 12, 2007 in Orange, Texas. She was born in Hicksbaugh, Texas and raised in Village Mills, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents the Reverend Dave K and Pearlie Martin, her husband of 27 years Reverend Elbert Freeman and her son David Sims. Also preceded in death by her 5 brothers John, Ben, D.K., Tom and Bill Martin, and 3 sisters Ellen Holland, Iva Walters and Nancy Dodie Spurlock.
She is survived by her children James M. Freeman of Hudson, Texas, (2) daughters Patricia Jones Parsons and husband John and Reba Bennett and husband Jim all of Buna, Texas and (1) sister Pauline Redus of Honey Island, Texas.
She leaves behind a legacy of: 15 grandchildren, Kaleb and Joshua Freeman and Derek Brown, Nikki Buffington and husband Robert Jr, Tammy Jones Rogers and husband Robert, Casey Jones, Alex Jones, Stacie Hancock and husband Ronnie, Marie Martin and husband Greg, Amber Awbry and husband Eric, Kenny Parsons and wife Sharene, Matt Choate, J.D. Parsons, David Cole and Johnny Hall and wife Karen.
Added to that legacy is her great grandchildren Tyler Leonard, Joshalin Robinson, Kyndal Williamson, Colt Rogers, Skylee Parsons, Heather and Ronnie Hancock, Nacona Bertrand, Kailyn Awbry, Steven Putaski, Santita Gomez, Cade Crosby, Trace and Jacob Choate, Cameron and Jonathan and Elizabeth Hall and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
Annie Freeman was also very lovingly know as the “honorary mother” to Helen Studler and husband Elton of Portage Indiana. Darlene Chamberlain of Johnstown, NY, Lisa Risner and husband Jerry of Lufkin, Texas, Darlene Mitchell and husband B J of Bismark, Arkansas and Kammy Hollis and husband Hank of Buna, Texas. She was very proud to be the honorary grandmother to Patricia Luth and husband Ray of Downer’s Grove, Illinois, Matthew Stuart and Mark Molandes of Lufkin, Texas, Dustin, Tabitha and Katie Hollis of Buna, Jason Mitchell and wife Kelly and Crystal Vice and husband Bud all of Arkansas.
She was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church in Buna, Texas ad was a retired Nursery worker in her church, where she had worked for 17 years.
Visitation will be held on Friday from noon until 9:00pm at Central Baptist Church in Buna. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday at Central Baptist Church in Buna, Texas officiated by Reverend Delbert Milstead and Reverend Paul Swearingen. Interment will be at the Baker Bell Cemetery in Fred, Texas.
