Dear Mr. Hughes and family,
Both my husband and I were taught by Mrs. Hughes in school, and my husband Clint loved her dearly. We are so sorry to hear of her passing, and want you to know how much we loved her. She was a wonderful woman who did pass on her love of reading to her students. We know that she is in paradise now, watching over us all.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, and may God be your comfort during this difficult time.

Dear friends . . . . Mom and I, along with my brother Randy and his family, extend deepest sypathies to all of you and your families . . . Your loved one was more than just our friend; she was family . . . Henri and my mom kept the lines hot whenever they all lived in Portland and in Silsbee . . . Mom told me today that Henri was just like a sister to her . . . I know that the paih you feel in your hearts today is impossible to describe . . . However, I also know that the Lord Himself will bring peace and an abiding spirit of comfort throughout your time of sorrow; and in the days to follow . . . Jesus never promised us that the journey would be easy, but that it would be worth it . . . Don't you know that Henri and my dad had a time of rejoicing at their reunion in Heaven?! Our loss is indeed Heaven's gain . . . We can take comfort in knowing that this is just a temporary separation, and that we shall all be reunited again someday . . . Our thoughts snd prayers are with you . . . Ever your friends . . . . Gladys, Ken, Randy Hatch and family
