Our precious loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 11, 2008. She was born July 23, 1917 in Pineland, Texas to Frank and Cynthia Bobbitt Jones. She passed away at Silsbee Convalescent Center in Silsbee Texas after a brief illness at the age of 90.
Totsy married W. T. Bill Berryman in 1945 and had 33 wonderful years together until his death in 1978.
Her passion was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and her greatest desire was that each of them would come to know her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Totsy was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church in Silsbee, Texas and loved her church family deeply. Her children can truly rise up and call her blessed.
She was preceded in death by her husband W. T. Bill Berryman, her parents Frank and Cynthia Bobbitt Jones, siblings Lonnie Jones, V. L. Jones, Clyde Jones, Ruth Winger Kirchoff, Pearl Jones, Earl Jones and granddaughter Holly Jones.
She is survived by her daughter Wanda Jones and husband Jerry of Evadale; sons Billy Berryman and wife Sarah of Orange and Frank Berryman and wife Yogi of Baytown. Grandchildren Keisha and Kyle Christian, Jason and Kristi Berryman, Megan and Geoff Dupree, Misty Berryman and Melani Bergeron, Wendy and Vince Sicola, Frank and Brandy Coffin, Sarah and Darrell Fisher and Michael Coffin. Great grandchildren Kourtlyn, Karigan and Karson Christian, Caroline and Camp Berryman, Riggs Bergeron, Lila Dupree, Sam, Will and Luke Sicola, Ben Fisher and Ava Coffin. Special sisters-in-law Winnie Jones Hall of Silsbee and Virginia Berryman of Nashville, Tennessee and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Burk Meredith, Roby Jones, Ronnie Berryman, Wade Berryman, V. L. Rusty Jones, Jr. and Clyde Jones.
The family would like to express their gratitude to family, friends and care-givers whose prayers, love, and devotion during her recent illness provided strength and encouragement. A special thanks to Cyndi Johnson for her exceptional care and devotion. To all personnel and nursing staff at Silsbee Convalescent Center and Odyssey Hospice Care thank-you for making mamas final days as comfortable and meaningful as possible. Special thanks to Bro. Jason Glenn for his prayers and support.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Sunday, January 13, 2008 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee, Texas with Reverend Jason Glenn of Friendship Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
