Jimmy Knight Smith

Funeral services for Jimmy Knight Smith, 63, of Kountze, will be 2:00 pm Friday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Holland Cemetery in Kountze. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith died February 5, 2008 at his residence.

A native of Loeb, Jimmy was a longtime resident of Kountze. He was a painter by trade and was an avid hunter.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Jenkins Smith of Kountze; sons Terry Smith and wife Brenda of Kountze and Doyle Lee Smith and wife Kelly of Silsbee; daughter Shelia Raub of Sour Lake; stepson Johnny Rossi of Mauriceville; stepdaughter Kathy Sanderson of Kountze; brother Cecil Smith of Kountze; sister Earnestine Dixson of Kountze and seven grandchildren.

Terry, My thought and prayers and with you and your family. Fathers are special and he made sure you were too. It's not the material things that he has given you that you will remember. The memories we have are more important than all the gold in the world. You will still say in your mind, yes DAD I know. Love In Jesus Name, Joanne
