To the family of
Barbara J. Halstead Ramsey:
I graduated from Huntington East High School with Barb in 1955. She was a fine friend and we acted together in the senior play, "Time Out For Ginger", in the Spring of 1955. She was so kind, friendly and genuine. With Barb, what you saw was what you got. I saw her a few times when we attended Marshall College. After graduation I saw her perhaps once or twice in the early 1960's and then not again until the HEHS Class of '55 reunion in 2000 in Huntington where we had a great time visiting and getting caught up on life. My wife, Myra, got to meet her and was very highly impressed with her. We visited again at the 2005 50-year reunion and it was such a pleasure!
At both functions Myra and I were so impressed with her happy spirit
and perserverance in spite of her physical condition, and considered her attributes to be inpirations to all who knew her.
Barbara will be greatly missed by many, but memories of her sweetness and perserverance will continue to inspire.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sincerely,

Dear Terri, Shelley and Misti... your mom was a best, and forever friend of mine -- a lovely, classy, smart, witty and inspiring friend. She, Gail and I were always together at East High -- singing together, going to church together, working at C&O together and them remaining friends thru marriage & happily seeing you 3 come into this world. Terri, you and my son Todd were little ones together. May you always keep her spark burning in you and hold hands together forever... Nancy Jones Mullens McDaniel

Dear Ramsey Daughters,
I am so very sorry to learn of your mother's death. We were friends at HEHS where we sang together in the A Capella Choir. Yes, I knew your dad as well.
Your mother was such a beautiful and talented lady! Even though our paths did not often cross after high school, I kept in touch through her dear friend Gail, and did have opportunity to see her at our class 50th Reunion. She looked so well, so young and lovely at that time!
She loved each of you so much! Her spirit will always remain with you. Even though miles now separate you from each other, always stay close to each other and keep your love strong. That is what she would wish for you.
May God's peace surround each of you and your families.
