Billie Jean Skelton Funeral services for Billie Jean Skelton, 79, of Lumberton will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday February 28, 2008 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment to follow at R. S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Reverend Michael Osborne will officiate. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Skelton died February 25, 2008 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

A native of Garrison, Texas she was a longtime resident of Lumberton and a retired secretary from LISD. Billie Jean was also a well-loved and active member of Family Worship Center in Beaumont.

Survivors include husband Wilford C. Skelton of Lumberton; sons Jerry Skelton and wife Paula of Jasper, Keith Skelton and wife Cresen of Beaumont; brothers Gerald Corley of Lumberton, Bobby Corley of Lumberton and Sonny Corley of Garrison; sisters Ives Porterfield of Dallas, Gladys Edmonds of Wills Point; grandchildren Jennifer Sunday, Adam Skelton, Luke Skelton and Matt Skelton.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

My sympathies to Billie's Family. She was an integal part of my Team when I was Principal at LHS in 1972 before she moved to the Supt's Office--she was always a good Friend.She'll be missed by all who knew her!!!!...Jim
