Delia Merle Stott, 71, of Silsbee passed away Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Memorial Herman Baptist Hospital. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday March 9 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. at Farmers.
Delia , known by everyone as "Merle" was born in Center, TX February 8, 1937. Merle was a resident of Silsbee for the past 28 years.
Merle was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Nora Rudd and sister Faye Boyett. She is survived by her husband Bernard Stott of Silsbee; two sons, David Stott and wife Gina of Bryant, AR, Jonathan Stott and wife Sheila of Silsbee; one brother Elmer Ray Rudd and wife Verna Mae of Jasper; three sisters, Pearl Witkowski of Austin, Lena Cormier and husband Rene of Lumberton, Graldine Durso and husband Joe of Silsbee; two grandsons Skylyr Stott of Conway, AR, Joshua Stott of Silsbee; one granddaughter Shontel Stott of Bryant AR; six nephews and seven nieces.
Merle served faithfully as a Pastors wife and teacher of six churches in LA and Texas since 1966. She was presently serving as Pastors wife at Woodrow Baptist Church in Silsbee.
