Born January 25, 1925 in Keatchie, Louisiana. Married her sweetheart in 1941 and moved to Texas where she resided until her death. She departed to her Heavenly home on March 19, 2008.
Funeral services for Dorothy Nell Martin, 83, of Silsbee will be 3:00 pm Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Hillcrest Cemetery in Bridge City. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, 11 months, J.D. Martin of Silsbee; daughters Nelda Landry and husband Donald of Houston and Connie Claus and husband Neale of Bridge City; son J. R. Martin and wife Melissa of Silsbee; seven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends who love her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northview Baptist Church.
