Margaret Alice Miller, went home to Heaven on Saturday April 26, 2008 at Holzer Medical Center. Born June 25, 1918 near Gallia County, she was the daughter of the late David L. and Roma Mae Morgan Griffiths.
Margaret graduated from Cadmus High School in 1936 and Holzer School of Nursing in 1939. She worked as a RN at Holzer Clinic in Gallipolis, hospitals in Columbus, Ohio and White Plains, New York. She married William B. Miller of the Rodney Community on July 21, 1943. Upon retirement, she and her husband returned to Gallia County where she served as a volunteer at Holzer Medical Center for several years. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Rio Grande.
She is survived by her husband, William B. Miller of Gallipolis;
2 Sons: Phillip I. (June) Miller of Patriot, and Carl T. (Miuyki) Miller of Tujunga, California; 3 Grandchildren: Sarah M. (Matt) Wamsley of Bidwell, Ohio, Dr. William G. Miller of Louisville, KY, and Virginia A. Miller of Patriot.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM. Thursday May 1, 2008 at the Salem Baptist Church, with Pastor James Lusher officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Friends may call at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 PM until 9 PM and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of service.
