Raymond Cecil Bertram, 86, of Buna passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on May 22, 2008.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday, May 26, 2008 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Antioch Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Born in Waelder, TX, Raymond was a long time resident of Buna. He was a retired self employed contractor. Raymond was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who loved fishing, hunting and gardening. He was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church in Buna.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lucille Hargrove Bertram and great nephew Keith Bertram.
Survivors include his loving wife of more than 64 years, Norma Davidson Bertram of Buna; daughters Sandra Meier and husband Jim of Spring and Janet Bertram of Buna; grandchildren Wendy Cipriano and husband Rufus, Ray Hall and wife Larissa and Mona Harrison and husband Dennis; great grandchildren Peyton, Hayden, Luke, Zachary, Abigail and Michael; sister Hazel Fontenot and husband Clinton of Buna; brother Billy Bertram and wife Wanda of Kingsland and numerous extended family members and friends.

Aunt Norma, Sandra and Janet I am still praying for you. I know this time is hard right now but it is a comfort to know uncle Raymond is with God and his pain is gone. Just remember the good times and when your sad pray God will give you peace that passes all understanding. love Kathy

I so sorry for your lost. We are still greiving for my brother and just lost a cousin last week. Sometimes the sadness seems to never leave.

I am very sorry to hear Raymond passed away. He was a very good man and will be missed. Norma, I appreciate all You and Raymond did to help with the kids.
