Graveside services for Elma Jeanne Lorenz, 80, of Silsbee will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Daniel Cemetery in Kountze. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Friday at Farmer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lorenz died June 2, 2008 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Born in Clinton County, Indiana August 10, 1927, Mrs. Lorenz had lived in this area over 40 years. She was a homemaker and loved her family very much. She was a feisty lady who was very proud of her Irish heritage and loved baseball.
Elma Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband Paul Leon Lorenz Sr., parents Sylvester Thurlow and Mary Emiline Biddle Morris and sister Evelyn Keirn.
Survivors include her children Anita Sue Lorenz of Houston, Linda Annette Schneider of San Marcos, Virginia Anne Wilson of Gallup, NM, Marjorie Joanne Roberts-Meaux of Kountze, Carolyn Jeanne Winn of Evadale, Darrell Keith Lorenz of Anaheim, CA, Paul Leon Lorenz Jr. of Tomball, Doris Elaine Duplessis of Conroe and Victor Whitney Lorenz of Magnolia.
Also surviving her are grandchildren Julie Gravis, Jacob Segrest, Melvin Graham, Melissa Ingram, Tommy Thompson, Brandon Schneider, Jennifer Cruse, Amber Chisamore, Keith Lorenz, Bobby Lorenz, Nathan Lorenz, Christy Anderson, Crystal Lorenz, Victor 'Scutter' Lorenz, April Lorenz and Nikki Lorenz and several step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
