Florene Bowden Monic, Sister, was taken into the loving arms of God on Saturday, June 14th at the age of 94 years.
A native of Bronson, Texas, she had been a resident of Lumberton since the 1960's. Sister loved music, enjoyed life and was always giving of herself to others. Florene's greatest joy was in being a loving Mama to her six children.
Preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Antoine Monic, survivors include her children Margie Beard, Paul Monic, JoAnn Marshall, Betty Monic, and Thomas Monic all of Lumberton and her daughter June Peveto of Crystal Beach. She had eleven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a multitude of others that called her Mama. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services for Florene will be 10:00 am Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in R. S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
