1939 - 2008
William Bill Lee Herold, Jr., age 69, of Greenville passed June 27, 2008 at his home on Perch Lake surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lt. Colonel William Lee Herold, Sr. and Eleanor ORear Herold Bickal. Bill was born January 5, 1939 at Fort Clayton, Canal Zone, Panama. He graduated from Scotland School for Veterans Children, Scotland, Pennsylvania. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Mr. Herold was an assistant Vice President in the International Department of Michigan National Bank. In 1961 he married Nancy Rejent who preceded him in death in 1977. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Linda Andrews Peterson and his children, Holly (James) Homrich, Bryan and Cheryl Peterson, Timothy and Todd Herold, Douglas and Tracie Peterson, Michelle (Christopher) Wyngarden; 13 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; his sister, Ann (Donald) Trexler; his aunts and uncles, Harold and Phoebe Phelps and James and Virginia Herold; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday June 30th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville. Funeral services will be held at Faith Baptist Church Tuesday July 1, 2008 at 11 AM. Rev. Robert Winter will serve as officiant. Interment will be in Rosedale Memorial Park, Standale. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice or to the American Cancer Society.

Grandpa, you'll be missed thats forsure. Pontoon rides making it around the lake once and sending me up for "soda pops" and of course chop suey. Alot of great times and we all love you so much. But i know your in a better place now looking down on all of us. And one day soon ill be right by your side again. I love you and will miss you.
