It is very hard to say goodbye to someone who has been such an important part of my life for so many years. The loss, although expected, will never be forgotten. Friends...good friends are difficult to find in life and always remembered. We often see a side of a person in friendship that family cannot see - know that my brother and I have the fondest of memories of a great man, a gentle nature, a soft kindness and a special caring that is second to none. My heart is heavy with our loss and prayers go out to Charles, JoAnne, Michael and Chris as they begin to work thru what is past and blend their love for their father and grandfather into theirs paths in the future. Claude played such a great role in their lives - remember the love and know that his love for each of you was the most important thing in his life. We are here for you and are willing to help all 4 of you in any way that we can...not to get over your loss but to get thru it. Thoughts, prayers and love to all of you!

Charles, I am sorry for the loss of your father. Growing up in G-ville, I vividly remember him as a stedfast, good natured golf partner of my dad and his buddies, and one of the many adults who attempted to keep the swarm of kids in-line at the annual Fourth Of July fireworks at the lake.

My deepest sympathy to you, Charles, JoAnn, Michael, and Chris. I will always remember Uncle Claude laughing and having those twinkling eyes. He always had a special way about him that one couldn't help but love to be around. He will be sorely missed. Much love to you all.
