Funeral services for James Robert Jackson 85, of Lumberton will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 5th, 2008 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Beaumont. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Jackson died July 2, 2008 at his home.
A native of Silas, Alabama, he was a longtime resident of Lumberton. Mr. Jackson worked for 45 years at Texaco as a machinist before retiring. He then worked for Hardin County precinct 4 and retired after 19 years of service. He was an Army Veteran proudly serving his country during WWII.
Survivors include wife Jo Ann Kendrick Jackson of Lumberton; sons Joedy Tate and Grady Tate both of Lumberton; daughter Judy Tomplait of Lumberton; Eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Tate, Jarod Tate, Matt Tate, Aaron Tomplait, Kevin Gore, Ed Carlton, Danny Walston and honorary pall bearer is Jack Tomplait.
