Hazel Bertram Fontenot Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1927 - 2008 Funeral services for Hazel Bertram Fontenot, 80, of Buna will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment to follow at Antioch Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will begin 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Fontenot died July 14, 2008 Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Slayton, Texas she was a longtime Buna resident. Mrs. Fontenot was a retired custodian with Buna ISD. Survivors include husband Clinton Fontenot of Buna; son Richard Quinn of Buna; daughter Kathy Merwin and husband Brian of Buna; twin brother Billy Bertram of Kingland; grandchildren Bridget Matlock of Spring, Christopher and Kyle Melancon of Buna. Mrs. Fontenot was preceded in death by son Kenneth Quinn, daughter Diane Quinn and brother Raymond Bertram.

Ricky and Kathy....I guess numb is the best way to describe how I feel. I was not ready for Daddy or Aunt Hazel to leave us. It is just to much to soon. All we have is our sweet memories and each other. I will always be here for you. I need you both as much as you need me. Love ya lots...Janet

Ricky and Kathy - It is so very hard for me to even realize that Aunt Hazel is gone.  She has been with me for all my 62+ years and I will miss her very much.  If ever you need anything - anytime - please call - I will be right there.  Love you all very much - take care of each other.Love Sandy
