Gordon Bower Goodwin age 65 of Sheridan died at home on Wednesday July 30, 2008.
He was born in Greenville on June 30 1943 the son of Kenneth G. and Margery Van Vlerah Goodwin. He was married in Greenville on June 3 1964 to Diane K. Shelest and was a graduate with the Class of 1962 of Greenville High School. He retired from Electrolux with 38 years of service. Gordon loved the out of doors whether hunting or fishing or just with his family. He also loved to play cards.
He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth on May 23, 1995.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Diane and their children, Michele and Ray Walker of Ionia, Gordon A. Goodwin of Sheridan and Ranee and Richard Raab of Fenwick, 11 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter, his mother Margery of Cedar Springs, brothers Floyd and Vickie Goodwin of Ionia, Jerry and Marleen Goodwin of Weidman, sisters Phyllis Russell of Cedar Springs, Helen and Delos Nielsen of Gowen and Linda and Russ Varney of Greenville, his sister in law Joann and Jed Bonzlaar of Lakeview and several nieces and nephews.
No funeral services will be held and burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens Belding. Contributions in his memory may be sent to his family in care of Diane Goodwin, 8551 Carlson Rd. Sheridan MI 48884

so sorry to hear of Gordy's passing. i worked with him for a lot of years, starting way back when he was in the porcelian dept. he was sick with cancer at the same time my husband was, back in 2001. my deepest sympathey to you all.
