Harold Lehman Jr. age 77 of Rockford passed away at his home on Saturday August 23, 2008. He was born in Westphalia on March 6, 1931 the son of Harold and Catherine Beechnau Lehman and he was married on March 8, 1950 to Helen R. Reed.
Harold was the owner of Lehman Auto Service for many years and was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. He was a devoted husband to his wife Helen for 54 years before her death on August 21, 2004. His parents, and brother Leon also preceded him in death.
He was a unique collector of many items, but his priority was his family whom he deeply loved and his children, grandchildren and son-in-laws and daughters-in-law loved him in return.
Surviving are his daughters and husbands; Victoria and James Nielsen, Cheryl and Keith Goodell, his sons and wives; Allan and Debra, Charles and Susan, Terry and Linda Lehman, grandchildren; Justin and Leticia, Misty and Duane, Derek, Tara and Zach, Shane, Christopher, Carly, Andrew, Brooke, Taylor, Lindsay, Mackenzie, Mariah, Kendall and Savannah, great grandchildren; Julianna, Alexis, Kenny, Hunter, Sonny, Laila and Gabriel, his special friend Donna Puehler, his sisters, Elizabeth Cook and Genevieve Davis and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday August 26 2008 at 10 AM from St. Charles Catholic Church, Greenville with burial in St. Charles Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday from 5:30 to 8 PM at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville with a Rosary prayed at 8 PM. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be given to St. Charles Church.
