Dora P. Patterson age 84 of Dickerson Lake, Stanton passed away Thursday September 4, 2008 at Twin Oaks Retirement Home, Gowen. She was born August 12, 1924 in Edmore the daughter of Frank and Edith Sharkey Deal. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Junior Patterson in 1988 and their daughter Barbara Outman in 2000.
Dora was retired after many years of service from the former Gibson Refrigerator Co in Belding and Greenville. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church of Stanton and enjoyed her flowers, gardening, fishing, dancing and eating out.
She is survived by her son-in-law David and Candy Outman of Sheridan, her grandchildren; Mark and Rhonda Outman of Bullhead Springs, Arizona, Darcie Withey of Sheridan, Danielle and Jeremy McConnell of Greenville, J. R. Withey of Edmore, great grandchildren Alexis Riley and Gavin Withey, her brother Duane and Mary Deal, Greenville, brother-in-law Norman Rahn of Stanton and sister-in-law Thelma Deal of Crystal and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Maggie Hunter, Ida Smith and Blanche Rahn and her brothers, Clinton, Marvin, Ted and Lawrence Deal.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 6, 2008 at 11 AM from Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville with Pastor Mike Haefner of First Congregational Church and Rev. Steve Voelker of Hope Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of Flowers memorial contributions may be given to Twin Oak Retirement Home.

I worked with Dora for years at electrolux and we were great friends . I always told her , she was like my second mother , I could tell her and talk to her about anything . My thoughts and prayers go out to the family .

My condolences to the family of Dora Patterson. My parents(Ken and Elizabeth Wheeler) and my brother and I lived up the hill from Dora, Charly and Barbara. May you feel God's Love during this time.

I worked with Dora at Gibson's in Belding and in Greenville. She was one wonderful, tiny, spunky woman and I considered her a friend. I am sorry for your loss.
