Dear Hardy family: Words cannot begin to express my sincere sympathy for all of you at this time. I only knew Richard through his beautiful wife, Barbie, but it was so obvious how much he adored his family by the wonderful stories I would hear Barbie tell at school. What a precious gift to have shared a life with a man of such unbelievable love and admiration for life. Please know that I'm keeping you all in my constant thoughts and prayers. Sandy Wager

Richard was a good friend during high school, and we worked on his Ford together several times doing things like replacing brushes in his starter, etc. I had recently thought of Richard when I passed his grandmother's house. I lost contact with him, but have fond memories of running around Silsbee with him. I send my sincere condolences to his family. He was a good person.
