Eva Esther McDonald, 90, of Silsbee, died Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Silsbee Oaks.
She was born January 3, 1918 near Woodville, Texas in Tyler County to F.A. and Ola Barclay Williamson. A longtime resident of Silsbee, she was a retired caregiver. She enjoyed her flower garden, her family and friends, and the many children she had cared for over the past forty years. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Silsbee and was always faithful to her church. She also supported many missions and charities throughout her lifetime.
She is survived by her son, Frank E. McDonald and wife Marjorie of Silsbee, granddaughter Terry Turner and husband Joe, grandsons Brian McDonald and wife Suzanne, Rusty McDonald and wife Janet, Greg McDonald and wife Hayley, all of Silsbee; great-grandchildren Jennifer Esneault and husband Brian of Prairieville, Louisiana, Phillip McDonald and wife Cathy of Los Angeles, California, Rebekah McDonald of Beaumont, Texas, and Timothy Turner, Megan, Lauryn, Brandi and Kathryn McDonald, all of Silsbee. Also surviving is a sister, Ella Dee Read of Silsbee, and niece Dena Mortimore and husband David of Austin. She will also be missed by numerous cousins and friends.
Visitation will begin Saturday, September 20, at R. S. Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee at 5 p.m. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, September 21, at the funeral home. No graveside service will be held.
