 Elbert James Bardwell age 64 of Gowen died Friday October 3 2008 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus Grand Rapids Michigan. He was born in Kingsport Tennessee on June 18 1944 the son of Walter and Leota Vicars Bardwell. He was married on December 7, 1996 to Noris Josefina Macia in Greenville MI He was a retired millwright for the Fisher Body Division of General Motors in Grand Rapids and a member of the Local UAW 730, a veteran of the US Army serving in Viet Nam and a member of the American Legion Post 528 of Alto.
He is survived by his wife Noris J. Bardwell of Gowen , his children, Jason , James (Joan), Jessie Bardwell all of Middleville and Fernando Ruiz of Austin TX. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sister.
Memorial services will be Tuesday October 7, 2008 at 11 AM from Hurst Funeral Home Greenville with Pastor Tommy Turner officiating

Noris- You might not remember me, but i used to bartend at blue lake inn. A friend let me know about Jims passing, and i am truly sorry. Jim and you were always really good to me.You were always giving me great advice about the nursing program. I lost my dad to cancer 2 years ago, so i do understand how you feel. Once again, i am really sad to hear about Jim loss, take care and would like to see you sometime.
