Funeral services for Lorilee Elkins, 64, of Lumberton will be 10:30 am Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Elkins died October 5, 2008 at her residence in Lumberton. Lorilee was a native of Beaumont and a longtime resident of Lumberton.
Survivors include daughters Shawn Elkins and husband Bruce of Kountze and Gale Elliott and husband Mike of Lumberton; son David Weeden of Lumberton; sister Ann Heidleberg of Lumberton; brother Ronnie Stubbs of Beaumont; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Words cannot express our love and appreciation for you. You are the epitome of strength and determination and have shown each one of us what walking by faith is all about. Everyone who truly knows you cannot help but love you. You have touched more lives in your 11 year battle with cancer than most people do in a lifetime, by selflessly choosing to focus on and inspire others. You are truly a blessing from God and we are very grateful for our time together.
