Richard D. Christensen Richard Dean Christensen age 79 of Greenville passed away Sunday October 5, 2008 in Greenville. He was born in Greenville on October 18 1928 the son of Harvey and Gladys Badge Christensen. He was a career US Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and the Viet Nam War retiring after more than 20 years of service as a SSGT in 1969. He also served as the food services supervisor at the Ionia Reformatory and worked at both the City Club in Greenville and the Big Boy in Alma. He was a former member of the American Legion Post # 101 of Greenville. On October 16 1962 in Rockford he married Delores A. Craft Frazer. She survives along with his children; Richard K. and Bonnie Christensen of Waldron Arkansas, Brian Christensen of Saudi Arabia, and Richard Allan Frazer of Saranac, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren, five step grand and ten step great grandchildren, his sister Harva Lou Raby of Orleans, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Richard and Pat Craft of Lowell and Wanda Jill and Jack Brondyk of Byron Center and several special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister Alvira Snow in 1999, his step son Bennie Dale Frazer in 1995 and also his brothers-in-law Manuel Raby and Ivan Bud Craft.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday October 9, 2008 at 1 PM from Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville with Rev. Ken Harger officiating. Military honors will be provided by the US Army Honors detail. Memorial contributions may be given to the Paralyzed Veterans
