Funeral services for Lee Roy Ard, 88, of Fred will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Ard died October 6, 2008 at Triumph Clearlake Hospital in Webster.
A native of Jasper, Mr. Ard was a lifelong resident of Fred. He was a carpenter by trade and proudly served his country during WWII in the US Army.
Survivors include his wife Simuel Lee Ard of Fred; sons Clayton Ard and wife Linda of Silsbee and Marvin Ard and wife Nell of Silsbee; daughters Shirley King of Silsbee and Delores Harrington and husband Walter of Pearland; eleven grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren.
