Freddie Ray ImmelFuneral services for Freddie Ray Immel will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 12 , 2008 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment to follow at Cunningham Cemetery. Visitation will begin 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Freddie Ray Immel, 62, of Silsbee passed away Sunday November 9, 2008 at his home in Silsbee. He was born August 13, 1946 to Mable Estelle (Meadows) Immel and Marvin Woodrow Immel in Beaumont, Texas. Freddie spent most of his teen and adult life in the Silsbee area, he attended Silsbee High School. He was of the Pentecostal faith and called Wiley Mae Pentecostal Church his church home. He was a pipefitter by trade, his work taking him to many states including St. Croix UASVI and Puerto Rico.

Freddie loved music, he had a band of his own and played local and state wide.

He is preceded in death by his parents, step daughter Sheral Sheleese Cravy and brother James Marvin Immel.

He is survived by his wife that stood faithful by his side during his illness, Cynthia Immel; sons James Marvin Immel of Silsbee and Freddie Ray Immel, Jr. of Fred; daughter Amber Nicole Immel of Fred and Angelique Meagan Immel of Fred; grandchildren April Smith and his little buddy James Ewing both of Silsbee; brothers Jimmie Immel (Betty) of Silsbee, Larry Gene Immel (Betty) of Dallas, Henry Thurston (Nelva) of Vidor; sisters Nancy Belle Thurston Miller (Pat) of Sulphur, LA, Patricia Ann Immel Lagle (Woody) of IN, Jo Ann (Thurston) McNeely and Roy McNeely, known to him as Mom and Dad, of Silsbee; sisters by choice Rachel( McNeely) Millstid of Trinity, Ruby Jean (McNeely) Jackson of Silsbee and Joyce Renee (McNeely) King of Silsbee; special music buddies Billy Jack Sanford and Kenny Scarborough.

Freddie was truly loved by all his nieces and nephews who will miss him greatly.
