Stanford B. Grayson, 87, died at his home in Lumberton on January 6, 2009. He was born in Lubbock, TX on May 31, 1921. Mr. Grayson was self-employed by Air Conditioning Services and owner of Lumberton Bar-B-Que He was a Coast Guard Veteran serving his country during during WW II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bryan and Ollie Grayson, his sister, Bunny Evans, and his wife of 60 years Ethel Grayson.
Survivors include daughter Beverly Herford and her husband Jack of Port Neches; son Gary Grayson and wife Jo Ann of Lumberton; brother, Travis Grayson, of Paris, TX; sister Maxine Wilkins of Garland, TX; grandchildren, Kim Christian, Kellie Dowden, Joey Grayson and Jamie Merendino and great grandchildren Karli Christian and Jadon Dowden.
The family would like to express a grateful thank you to Odyssey Hospice and special appreciation to Pamela Adkins for her dedication and support.
Funeral services are 11:00 am Friday, January 9, 2009 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
