Funeral services for Dan Hare, 79, of Silsbee will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday January 24, 2009 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment to follow at Cunningham Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Hare died January 22, 2009 at Christus St. Elizabeth hospital in Beaumont.
A native and life long resident of Silsbee. Mr. Hare proudly served his country during WW II in the Army, and was a Boat operator by trade.
Mr. Hare was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years Obolene Hare.
Survivors include sons Larry Hare of Warren, Billy Jack Hare and his wife Valerie of Silsbee and Doug Hare and his wife April of Grandbury; brother Earnest Hare of Baytown; sister-in-law Bonnie Verret of Katy and nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
