Gary E. White age 72 of Greenville died Friday January 30, 2009 at Heartland Healthcare Center in Grand Rapids. He was born in South Ionia, MI on April 9, 1936 the son of Robert and Marguerite Bemis White. He attended Ionia and Lyons schools and worked for Williams Brothers in Ionia before working at Electrolux in Greenville and retiring with over 20 years of service. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge of Greenville. He married Virginia A. Davis in Greenville on October 14, 1977. She survives along with his daughter Marcia Thomas Mullane of Grand Rapids, his granddaughters, Amber (Rogelio) Bustamante, Mary Mullane and Grace ( Felipe) Bustamante all of Grand Rapids, his great grandchildren, Ashley, Patricia, Breanna and Adrein, his brothers, Jerry (Joyce) and Robert (Dawn) White of Ionia and Donald (Shirley) White of Greenville and nieces and nephews.
Funeral and committal services will be held on Sunday February 1, 2009 at 3 PM from Hurst Funeral Home with Pastor Madelyn Thompson, Heartland Hospice Chaplain and his nephew Pastor David White officiating. Burial will be in Easton Cemetery, Ionia. Visitation will be Saturday from 2 to 4 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Heartland Hospice.
