Luella M. Dolly Burgess age 92 of Sidney died Sunday February 8, 2009 at Heartland Health Care Center, Ionia. She was born in Fairplain Township, Fenwick on January 12, 1917 the daughter of Floyd J. and Martina Hansen Yeomans. She was a waitress in the Greenville Sheridan area for many years working at the Winter Inn, Northside, Turk Lake and Midway restaurants. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Stanton, Danish Sisterhood and Faith Lutheran Church and was a graduate of Sheridan High School in 1935.
She is survived by her sons, William and Joanne Noah of Coral and Darwin and Terrie Noah of Sidney, her grandchildren, Jorgen and Elizabeth Noah of Cedar Springs, Jennifer Hodges of Smyrna, Nathan and Heather Noah of Jenison, Dirk and Lisa Noah of Sheridan, Roman and Joy Noah of Sidney, David and Theresa Anderson of Kentwood and Barry and Mechela Anderson of Sheridan, great grandchildren; Cailin, Liam, Jillian, Amanda, Brandon, Anna, Alanna, Autumn, Ashley, Spencer, Ty, Alex, Jordan, Hunter, Jake and Gunther, sister-in-law, Ruth Campbell and nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her infant son LaVerne Noah, her husband Lyle Burgess, her sons father LaVerne Noah, daughter-in-law Pam Noah, brothers, Ted, Albert and Lewis Yeomans and sister Gladys Hobert.
Memorial services will be on Wednesday February 11, 2009 at 11 AM at Faith Lutheran Church, Sidney with Bernice Sorrels associate in Ministry officiating. Burial will be in the spring at East Montcalm Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to Faith Lutheran Church
