Funeral Services for Ada Williams Honsberger, 95, of Silsbee will be 11:00 am, Monday March 2nd at Farmer Funeral home in Silsbee. Interment to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will begin 5:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Honsberger passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 25th at Pine Arbor Health Care Center in Silsbee, just a few days before her 96th birthday.
She was born March 13, 1913 to John and Cora Edwards Stewart at Albion, OK. She was the youngest of four children, 3 brothers and one sister who all preceded her in death. After her marriage to C. M. 'Pete' Williams they had three children when they moved to Silsbee in 1937. In October 1953 Pete was killed in an automobile accident. In 1958 she married F. E. 'Gene' Honsberger who passed away in 1981.
Mrs. Honsberger was an active member of the First Christian Church Silsbee and was a long time member of the choir. She loved music, her home and had a special love for her cats.
Preceded in death by her son John William of Stockton CA in 1985 and daughter Glenda Glane Smith of Belgrade MT in 2003. Survivors include, daughter and son-n-law Coralene and Robert Walsh of Twin Bridges MT, son-in-law Gordan Smith of Belgrade MT, daughter-in-law Wanda Williams of Stockton CA, and step-sons George(Yvonne)Honsberger of Beaumont and Delbert(Pat)Honsberger of San Antonio. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren, five of which are quintuplets in Austin, Texas.
Bobbie Teel of Silsbee, her long time friend and caregiver also survives her. Her care and concern for Ada has been a real comfort to the family for many years.
