Fred Maurice Samford, Sr. Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1924 - 2009 Funeral services for Fred Maurice Samford, Sr. 84, of Silsbee will be 2:00 pm Monday, March 2, 2009 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in R. S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Samford died February 27, 2009 at his residence. A native of Center, he was a longtime resident of Silsbee. Mr. Samford was a retired truck driver. He proudly served his country with the Army Air Force and the Merchant Marines during WWII. Survivors include son Fred Samford, Jr. and wife Barbara of Silsbee; daughters Hilda Figueroa and husband Jorge of Silsbee and Janis Jones and husband Jack of Lumberton; sisters Blanche Young of Webster and Mary Lee Tillman of Long Beach Mississippi; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
