Dear Kaitlin & Shannon, I am so terribly sorry to hear of your dads passing. He was a great man and I enjoyed working with him over the years both as a customer at Blimpies and as a co-worker at Stafford Communications. We shared a lot of personal trials over the years and I have missed seeing him. I lost my own father 1 year ago and I know that no one can ever fill those shoes. I also know how you girls were the light of his life and how much he treasured you both. The only thing that makes the pain a little easier is knowing that this is not the end and we will all be together again someday. Take care and continue to be the strong independat young women that he was so proud of. Warmly, Debbie Letts

My condolences to Pat's family for their untimely loss. Pat's smile was contagious as was his warmth and kindness. I was a 1969 classmate and fellow band member and the last time we talked was in 1974 at Greenville Furniture. (I remember because I was buying a Raggedy Ann doll for my niece and he thought it was such a nice gift). I dearly would love to talk "band parent" and "CMU parent" with Pat. Such a sad loss, my prayers are with you.

I remember talking with Pat at our 20th high school reunion. I hadn't seen him since, but will always remember him as one of the kindest gentleman I've ever had the honor of knowing. He was also an awesome musician, and I have fond memories of our time spent together in GHS marching and symphonic band. He will be missed. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and loved ones. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Warmest regards, Barbara Natiello Seattle, Washington

Shannon, Kaitlin, Audrey & Jill - I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Pat. I've known Pat since we were in High School. He was the drummer in our Band, I was the lead-singer. I've never met you two girls, but whenever Pat and I would run into each other around town we would talk about two things. First he would fill me in on the latest news about his much-loved daughters and then we would talk about the "Band". As I sit here writing this and thinking of Pat, it came to me that in the years that I knew him I never once saw him 'down'! He was always full of laughter, smiles and more then a few pranks. When we were on the road and things were going wrong, tempers were getting short, leave it to Pat to pull something and the next thing you knew we were laughing, the tension was gone and our music was fun again. Thank You Pat - for the memories! You can be very proud of Pat. He touched many people, always in a positive way. Our Hearts and Our Thoughts are with you.

Shannon & Kaitlin - we are so sorry to learn of your Dad's death. He was one of the first people we met when we moved to Greenville 30 years ago. He was an inspiration because of his smile, his friendliness and his enthusiasm. He will be sorely missed. Although your Dad's lifetime was much too short, you both must know how fortunate you are to have had such a positive role model and such a caring, involved father. Many family members never experience that kind of love. Our best to you both and to your family as a whole and please know that our thoughts are with you as is our deepest sympathy. Sincerely, Carl and Alison Barberi

Kaitlyn & Shannon - I knew your dad when he worked for the Daily News. He was my rep and would stop by a couple times a month. He would talk about going up to CMU and seeing both of you and when you all would come home with new boyfriends etc. I probably know more about you than you think! (: I lost my dad two years ago when Pat was my rep. He was so nice to me and I would always think when he left my office how lucky his daughters were to have a dad so involved. Although I don't know you personally... you were raised and loved by your dad then you both are wonderful women. Please take care.

Susan and I were deeply saddened to hear of Pat's passing the other day. I always enjoyed visiting with him at football games when he hung around the band. He was always caring and willing to do anything to help Susan with whatever needed to be done..whether it was working the food booths, getting water for the kids, or just running back to the high school to get something, he was always there. He especially loved our children and enjoyed watching them grow. Kaitlin and Shannon, you are in our thoughts and want you also to know that Ilene is very sad for you too. She remembers your dad very fondly.

For the untimely loss of a precious son, brother, and caring father, the sorrow must be unbearable. All that knew him are now grieving. As a classmate Pat was one of our leaders and a great friend. His personality just made everyone thankful to be spending time with him. My youngest child was his namesake. Yes, your Patrick was a special person. Be thankful for the great times you had and know that his time on Earth made life a whole lot nicer. Phil Kulas

Pat and I became acquainted when we first entered High School but got to know each other really well when we served together as Student Council officers our Senior year. Pat was elected Mayor by the student body not only because of his popularity but out of respect for his character. In the 40 years since I've only run into Pat on occaion but he always had a smile and something positive to say. He will be missed. Barry VanHarn
