Harvey Hollyfield Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1925 - 2009 Funeral services for Harvey Hollyfield, 83, of Silsbee will be 2:00 pm Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Hollyfield died April 20, 2009 at Pine Arbor Health Care Center. A native and lifelong resident of Silsbee, Harvey was retired from Hardin County where he worked as an operator in Precinct 2. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII. Survivors include his wife Virgie Frazier Hollyfield of Silsbee; sons Gurney Hollyfield of Silsbee and Barry Hollyfield of Spurger; daughters Sheila O'Quinn of Silsbee, Debrah Wallis of Silsbee and Shirley Sheffield of Spurger; sisters Sarah Kelly of Silsbee and Marie Kuritz of Houston; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren and many other extended family members.

Shirley and family I am so sorry for your loss you all will be in my thoughts and prayers in the following days, keep the memories of your dad close to your heart it will comfort you in the days and years ahead. I was younger but I still remember him, he always cut my dad's hay along with your mother's help! He was a wonderful person to be around.
