Alma Jewel Stephens, 74, of Silsbee passed from this life surrounded by her loving family April 26, 2009. She was born July 9, 1934 to James Ellis "Red" Overstreet and Ebbie Overstreet Pearson.
A native of Warren, Alma Jewel was a long time Silsbee resident. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her adoring husband Richard Stephens and her loving children "Dottie" Smith, Dale Stephens and wife Meletta and Diane Smith; three sisters Lois Powell, Mellie Gordy and Pauline Dixon and numerous grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at First Pentecostal Church in Silsbee with interment to follow in R. S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Monday at the church.
