Funeral services for Sue Ener Gray Ketchum, 78, of Silsbee will be 1:00 pm Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Lone Star Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ketchum died May 4, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston.
Mrs. Ketchum was a native of Pineland, and lived most of her life in Silsbee. She worked as an operator for Southwestern Bell for many years before going to work at Silsbee Doctors Hospital as a clerk.
Survivors include her husband Floyd Ketchum of Silsbee; daughters Charlotte Gray Carrico and husband Ronnie Conner of Silsbee, Cherry Jean Murphy and husband David of Plano, Sandra "Susie" Brittain of Santa Fe, TX and Joyce Baker and husband Tony of Marrero, LA; sons Charles "Bobby" Gray and wife Kathy of Lumberton, Arthur "Boogie" Ketchum and wife Beverly of Silsbee and Ronald Ketchum and wife Giselle of Marrero, LA; eighteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

I am so sorry for your great loss. Your mother was a kind person. I feel blessed to have known her. She always welcomed me and my kids into her home like we were part of her family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you! I loved being around Sue. I loved her stories about our family back "in the day". I am so sorry I never got to sit down with her and get her to tell me all of the family history. I will miss her! Love, Charlotte
