1917 - 2009

Donna Mae Nadeau-Sage

Donna Mae Nadeau Sage, age 91 of Greenville MI went in peace to be with her heavenly Father, surrounded by her loving family.

She had been residing in Orleans with her daughter and son-in-law. Donna was born December 22, 1917 in Remus, MI the daughter of Rosco and Irene Goodsell Snyder.

Throughout her life Donna was an avid member of the First Church of God in Greenville. Donna enjoyed volunteering her time cooking for the church; nearly everyone who knew her loved her homemade noodles and baked beans. She was also a devout member of the Bible Study for women.

Closest to her heart was her love for the Lord and her family. She enjoyed spending as much time as she could with each of her children, grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren. There was enough love in her heart for everyone in her family and she went out of her way to make sure everyone in her family knew how much she loved and cared for them. She was a perfect role model, teaching each generation the importance of knowing the Lord.

Donna also enjoyed spending time with her friends. She could always be counted on for a ride to an early morning coffee.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters-in-law, first husband Homer Nadeau, her second husband, Jerry Sage and great granddaughter Jillian Nadeau.

Donna is survived by her loving children, Helen and Gary Kern of Greenville, Jim and Cathie Nadeau of Lakeview, Darlene and Jerry Sydow of Orleans and Bob and Diane Nadeau of Coral, step-daughters, Pat Jones and Bonnie Giles, 14 grandchildren, 40 great and 13 great great grandchildren, brother Max Snyder, sister-in-law Bernice Snyder widow of Keith, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday May 11 at 11 AM from Hurst Funeral Home with Rev. David Perry officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5 to 9 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given in care of Pastor Dave Perry or to Hospice

What can I say about Donna that hasn't already been said... She was the most loving person around, She has taught me Gods love through sunday school, and as I aged, she was right there encouraging me and my husband. I loved Donna's molasses cookies, and she was so generous to give me the recipe. I will think of her each time I make them. Kim and I are So sorry for your loss, even though we know Donna is where she wants to be.We will miss her. Love and prayers to you all.

Your Mother, Donna, was such a good friend to my Mother, Lucille Cory. Mother often talked about going out to breakfast with Donna and the good times they had. I was not aware of Donna's passing until it was too late to attend the funeral. I pray the Lord my comfort you in your time of mourning this lovely lady. Millie

Donna was one of my Sunday School teachers at First Chursch of God back in the late 50's early 60's. I will always remember her kindness and she always had a smile on her face. Donna helped me to learn the love that our Lord has for each of us. God Bless you all. Beverly Orvis-Baldwin

Donna was a very good friend of my Mom's, Lucille Cory. Mom talked so often of the fun things they did together. They would go out to eat alot, shopping, for a ride,.....I think they must have been Wendy's best customer's. I think one of the stories I remember the most was when they went to Meijer in Lowell and ended up in Grand Rapids. Someone pointed them in the right direction though as they made it home. My Mom died April 15. I am sorry for your loss and will remember Donna with fondness.
