I did not have the pleasure of serving with Bernie but do have the honor of following in his 4-H footsteps in Montcalm County. He left footprints and traditions that come to life with every 4-H fair!

Betty - I worked with Bernie the first four years of my Extension career in the thumb area. Recall Bernie's sense of humor and how he enjoyed his work with 4-H members and leaders. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Betty, Bernie and I worked together in Caro. I was the Home Economist after Aliene Mills. Betty, Bernie was a great youth agent...he loved his job and he enjoyed being a mentor to many kids in the thumb of Michigan...Prayers are with you and your family during this time.

Dear Betty and Family;
I was very sad to hear of Bernie's passing. He was a caring, helpful, humorous, upright fellow employee and I am proud to have served in the Michigan State University Extension Service with him. He had great integrity and, though sometimes assailed for his staunch support of 4-H families, never lost his sense of humor and concern for others. A great guy. /Bill

I am deeply saddened to learn of the death of Bernie. He was always regarded as a true friend of 4-H and an excellent Extension Professional. On a personal note, I always enjoyed just being around him. I'm sure he touched the lives of 1000s of people, both young and older with his enthusiasm and kindness. His presence on this earth will surely be missed.
May God grant you, his family, strength and Love.
Sincerely,
Jake Wamhoff,
Chair emeritus,Dept.of Agr,& Ext.Ed.MSU

I am so sorry to learn of Bernie's death. We traveled together with other 4-H agents during the mid 70's and 80's to many national conferences. He was very dedicted to the youth he worked with. I want the family to know tht he is in my prayers as well as all of you. I think we always use to celerate his birthday at annual conference and sometimes at the National meeting as well.............He was a great educator and true friend.

I regret hearing of the passing of Bernie Jardot. I had the pleasure of serving as an Extension 4-H Youth Agent with Bernie. My thoughts and prayers are with Bernie's family and friends. If memory serves me correct, Bernie served in Tuscola County as Extension 4-H Youth Agent as well.

Sorry to hear of Bernie's passing. He certainly had a great career with Extension and was a positive role model for young people. There are always a few "Bernie" stories that get repeated to this day! (like having a birthday at every restaurant while traveling to national conventions...got him lots of cake!)
My thoughts are with you and the family.
