Funeral services for Robert Leo 'Buddy' Eaves, Sr., 70, of Buna will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Central Baptist Church in Buna with interment following in Eaves Cemetery in Gist. Services will be under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.
Mr. Eaves died May 21, 2009 at his residence.
A native of Gist, Mr. Eaves was a longtime resident of Buna. He was a carpenter and worked in construction.
Mr. Eaves was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Clara Eaves; sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and Wilbur (Bim) Clark; infant sister Liska Eaves and daughter-in-law Lisa Gail Eaves.
Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara Marie Eaves; six children, Robert Leo Eaves Jr. and wife Diane, Lois Marie Williams and husband Prentice, Jo Ellen Tarver, Carlos Wayne Eaves and wife Carolyn, Ada Martha Smith and husband James and Willliam Bradley Eaves. Mr. Eaves is also survived by twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brother Prentis Eaves and wife Barbara; sisters Billie Goff and husband Ray, Nell Marks and husband David, Juanita Traver, Sherry Steele and Nancy Werner.
