Edna Marie Cantrell, 91, of Proctorville, Ohio, formerly of Elkhorn City, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday June 16, 2009 in the Hospice House of Huntington. She was born February 25, 1918 in Pike County, Kentucky to the late Jack and Stella Hogston. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Cantrell; son Arnold "Pete" Cantrell; son-in-law Blake Looney; four sisters, Mary Evelyn, Gladys, Gertrude, and June; and two brothers Charlie and Rondall. She was a member of Church of Christ. She is survived by one daughter Jacqueline Looney; four grandchildren Sheila (Kevin) Harvey, Richard and Greg Cantrell, and Sonja Smith; eight great grandchildren Andrea (Tyler) Drennan, Kyle, Kimberly, Christine, Adam and Amy Cantrell, Tommy Utteth, and Jamie Smith; seven great great grandchildren Blake Drennan, Karlie Hoffman, Faith, Austin, and Skyler Brown, Kyden and Kaylee Cantrell; three brothers Clifford, Elle, and James Hogston; three sisters Belva Adkins, Jean Belcher, and Zetta Bartley; and daughter-in-law Wanda Cantrell. Visitation will be held 6 to9 p.m. Wednesday June 17, 2009 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. Funeral service will be conducted 10:30 p.m. Thursday June 18, 2009 at Hall Funeral Home by Minister Brad Poe. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Memorial Park Pikeville, KY. In addition to flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice. I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Edna. I know Heaven will be sweeter with her arrival. We will all miss her very much.

Sorry to here about Edna, she was always so good to me when me and David were married. Mary Evelyn was so close to her and now they can be together. If you need me for anything let me know, I just lost my Mom and I know how hard it is. May God Bless you Vickie Bartley Coleman
