Beulah Butcher Jenkins, 86, of Chesapeake, Ohio, the widow of Forest Jenkins, rested this life on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born September 19, 1922 in Lawrence County, Ohio a daughter of the late Mart and Stella Lundy Butcher. She retired form Owens Illinois Glass Company. She was an Apostolic Christian by faith and a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her brothers and sisters considered her the focal point of the Butcher family after the passing of "Mommie" Butcher. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers L.M. "Bill, Harvey, Ross, and Jasper Butcher; and five sisters Agnes, Julia, and Gertrude Gillette, Faye Rucker, and Mary Evans. She is held in loving memory by her daughter and son-in-law Delora "Dory" and Rev. Richard E. Cremeans of Chesapeake, Ohio, two grandchildren and their spouses Wendy and Matthew Stickler , Richard F. and Stacey Cremeans; five great grandchildren, Logan and Landon Stickler, Ethan, Elizabeth, and Elaina Cremeans; a sister Pauline "Polly" Butcher McGinnis; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2009 at Apostolic Life Cathedral, Huntington with service to follow at 7:00 p.m. by Rev. Edwin Harper and Rev. Richard Cremeans. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday June 23, 2009 at Getaway Cemetery Chesapeake, Ohio. Hall Funeral Home Proctorville is in charge of the arrangements . Dory, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I always enjoyed coming to your house when we were in college. Your mother was a great lady and will be missed.

Dear Dory and family, we are so saddend to hear of the loss of your mother. Heaven has gained another soldier. Our loss is heavens gain. She has achieved what she has worked many years towards. Praying God will give you a peace that passes all understanding and that he will wrap his loving arms around each of you and comfort you during this difficult time and the days ahead. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
