Emma Ruth Willis Jenkins Rice, 87, of South Point, Ohio passed away Friday June 19, 2009 in St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born March 25, 1922 in Lawrence County, Ohio, daughter of the late Orville Wyatt and Merle Mae Hughes Willis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands James Riley Jenkins and John C. Rice; son James B. Jenkins; two brothers, one sister and brother-in-law. She was a member of Chesapeake Nazarene Church. Emma is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Riley T. (Patricia) Jenkins of Scottown, Ohio and Neil E. (Linda) Rice of South Point, Ohio; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Quality Care and Nursing Service and special caregiver, Elaine Albans. A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday June 22, 2009 at Willis Family Cemetery Leatherwood, Ohio by Pastor Jimmy Dale Perry. Visitation will be held from 11 to 12 Monday June 22, 2009 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

Emma made my day! I love her and she will be sadly missed. She was like a second mother to me. I will keep the family in my thoughts and prayers.
