I remember as a little girl watching mom, dad, Herb & Ferne at the kitchen table playing 'Setback.' I even have a picture of me sitting in the middle of the kitchen table with mom & Ferne, I must have been around 3 years old. Who was to know that they would be playing cards together for almost 50 more years. They were 2 wonderful, truly happy people that had a great life and are together again. I will miss them so much. You all are in our prayers.

I've enjoyed Uncle Herb's hunting tales & Aunt Ferne's ghost stories. Uncle Herb would called me "Jefferson" sometimes. Remember the story about "The Avon Lady"that turned out to be a man!! That was one of Aunt Ferne's creepiest stories, & I think she said that story was true. So many good memories at Lick Creek (except) the time I got into Daddy's car at Grandpa Taylor's & tried to drive it to Grandpa & Grandma Counts & drove it into the ditch line!!
Uncle Herb & Aunt Ferne will be truly missed, but not forgotten.

Serena & Herb,
We are so very, very sad about the death of your Mom. Our cell phone was dead and we missed your call and the funeral. We loved your parents so much and really miss them already. They were such wonderful people and always had smiles on their faces. Our love to all of you. Diana & Trulah
