We are praying for comfort for the family, as we also lost a loved one to Alzheimer's. It is a long, long goodbye, a long road for all the family. At last his journey is over. Our sympathies to you all, especially to Marcia and family whom we know and love.

Beatrice, Patty & Marty. My mother, Helen, was married to Joe from approx. 1968-1978. Joe loved the business world and always had a story to tell. My brothers (Bob and Tim) and I worked at Whiz back in the early 70's during our Jr. High and High School years. That store was great, it was before the large chain stores moved into town. It was a hometown store with a hometown feel. I remember making baskets at Easter and stocking Toyland with lots of toys for Christmas. One of my favorite things to do there was selling popcorn. I hated to see it go but the memories I have will last a lifetime. You are all in my prayers.

Pattie, Marcia, and all the family, our most sincere condolences in the loss of your Father. Joe Crans was not only a great man and a great boss, he was a compassionate friend. His travels while here on Earth allowed him to touch many lives in a caring and positive way. It is and honor to have worked for your Dad and an even greater honor to have him consider me a friend. May you and all your families be blessed in this very difficult time.

My father worked for Joe at Crans Supply warehouse when I was a child in 1955.The only time my brother and sisters and I ever got anything for Christmas was when dad worked there. He asked Joe to pay him in toys instead of a paycheck. When I grew up and had children of my own, I bought their Christmas toys at Whiz Toyland.I remember when it closed and how disappointed everyone was. My dad's name was John Hensley
