1926 - 2009
Agnes Jeffreys, 82, of Burlington, Ohio passed away Thursday July 9, 2009 in the Hospice House of Huntington. She was born August 30, 1926 in Raleigh, NC. She was preceded in death by her mother Edna Fox; daughter Deborah Spotts; and son Delaniel Hairston. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church Huntington, WV and a member of Missionary Guild and the church clerk at First Baptist Church of Burlington. She was Treasurer of Ohio Baptist General Convention Association and same office with Providence. Agnes is survived by her husband Carl J. Jeffreys; two daughters Sheila Gilmore and Carla Malone and her husband Moses all of Auburn Hills, Michigan; two sons George Hairston of Columbus, Ohio and Bruce Jeffreys and his wife Shawnee of Chesapeake, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and one great- great granddaughters; one sister Evelyn Galltin of Baltimore, MD; Godson Dr. Thomas Price of New Rochelle, NY; and a host of very special family and friends that are too numerous to name. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday July 14, 2009 at Calvary Baptist Church Huntington by Rev. Franklin Murphy. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church. Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio is in charge of arrangements. George and family I am praying for you all. I remember Ms. Agnes when I was a little girl and she was friends with my mother and father. We were all friends, you and DQ. You all have my deepest sympathy.
