I was a former classmate and friend of Ricks for over 50 years!
I am both shocked and saddened by this tragic loss. Words alone cannot express what a fine person he has always been. Rick was an angel on earth who received an early ticket to HEAVEN ! I will certainly miss his always "light up the room" SMILE and warm personality. Rest in peace, my friend.

It's hard to know what to say at a time like this. I remember when I was a little girl that it was a special time when Lindsey, Agnes and the kids came to Grandma and Grandpa Pemberton and Lawson's house, as well as all the other relatives from the southern part of the state. We always had so much fun playing together with the other cousins. Even tho we didn't see Ricky and his family often, they were and are thought about with love. Ricky will be missed. God will take care of you all.

Laynette- I don't know what to say. He was a great guy. Anytime I heard about a new cartoon coming out I always thought of you two. He waved at me several days when working on SP Elem. It's right down the street from my house. Hopefully knowing he is in a better place will be comforting and knowing everyone is praying for your family

Ricky Lee Pemberton, 56, of Willow Wood, Ohio passed away Tuesday August 18, 2009. He was born April 29, 1953 in Cabell County, WV. He was an employee of Local #543 Laborers Union. He was preceded in death by his father Forrest Lindsey Pemberton. Ricky is survived by his mother Agnes Pemberton of South Point, Ohio; wife Laynette Parsons Pemberton; one daughter Linzi (Chris) Lewis of South Point; one son Nicholas (Courtney) Pemberton of Franklin Furnace, Ohio; one grandson James Westley Lewis; two brothers Tim (Sheila) Pemberton of Ironton, Ohio and Jack (Kathleen) Pemberton of South Point; one sister Nancy (Billy) Brammer of Rock Camp, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday August 23, 2009 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Tim Throckmorton. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
